Steer AI features in the 2026 Observatory of French mobility startups

The 2026 edition of the Observatory of French mobility startups, by the Moove Lab and Roland Berger, lists Steer AI in two segments: car commerce, and maintenance and repair.

In April 2026 the Moove Lab, the mobility accelerator founded by Mobilians and Via ID at Station F, published with Roland Berger the third edition of the Observatoire des startups françaises de la mobilité. The study analyses 1,135 funding rounds made by French mobility startups between 2014 and 2025, plus a survey of more than 100 startups.

Steer AI is part of it, in the selection of notable 2025 funding rounds.

Where Steer AI appears

  • Car commerce (p. 43): Steer AI is listed as an AI solution for vehicle inspection and sales.
  • Maintenance and repair (p. 70): Steer AI is listed for AI solutions for automotive sales and after-sales, and cited as an example of the technology players digitising the automotive aftermarket.
  • Panorama of French mobility startups (p. 82): the Steer AI logo appears in the vehicle commerce category of the map of the ecosystem.

The report notes that the maintenance and repair market weighs €22–23 billion a year in France and benefits from an ageing fleet, and that more structured businesses are digitising their processes to gain efficiency: the opening for players like Steer AI.

The context: a year of consolidation, with AI at the centre

2025 was a year of consolidation for French mobility and automotive-services startups. Funding fell by 48% in value and 26% in volume, yet founders remain confident and AI has become central to most business models.

What it means for us

Being listed in two segments reflects what Steer AI is: infrastructure that serves both the sale of used cars and their after-sales, built on the same evidence of each car's condition and value.

We thank the Moove Lab, Mobilians, Via ID and Roland Berger for this work, which gives the whole ecosystem a clear reading of where mobility innovation is heading.
