Valuation
What it is for
Valuation fetches the market price of each car and lets you set your own price. It is the same pricing step as in the car wizard, available for every car of your stock.
Access
- Menu: Steer Pricer › Valuation (
/dashboard/pricing/valuation). - Requires the Cars module on your team.
Steps
- Open Steer Pricer › Valuation. The list Cars to estimate shows To price, a set price, or Index calculated for each car.
- Click Inspect on a car to open Car pricing.
- In Market pricing, click Fetch market price. The plate is tried first, then make, model and version.
- Read Estimated price, Low estimate, High estimate, Best quote, B2B buy price and Confidence index.
- Enter your User price and click Save. The market estimate is saved on the car ("Market estimate saved on this car.").
- Switch Show TTC to display prices including VAT.
Good to know
- The market estimate covers cars in France.
- The car version is only used when it is filled in the car details.
- The best quote is saved as the car's reference estimate; the low and high estimates are used as the market bounds.
- Saved estimates feed Analytics. Estimates older than 30 days are flagged there.
Common issues
"Unable to fetch market pricing." The estimate could not be retrieved. Check the plate, make and model, then try again.
"No pricing data was returned." No market data matches this car. Complete the car details (version, year, mileage) and try again.
"Enter a valid user price before saving." Type a number in User price.
