Car market

What it is for

Car market gives a view of the used-car market in your country: your prices against quotes, registrations by region, news and useful links. It helps you decide what to buy and how to price it.

Access

  • Menu: Steer Pricer › Car market (/dashboard/pricing/insights).
  • Requires the Cars module on your team. The page title shows your country: "Car market · France".

Steps

  1. Open Steer Pricer › Car market.
  2. In My stock prices vs the market, choose a Period (7 d, 30 d, 90 d) and read Average quote of my cars and My average price vs the quote.
  3. In Registrations by region, hover or tap a region to see its figure; click it to see its Registration trend over the last 12 months. Back to my region returns to yours.
  4. Read Top registrations and Regions ranking.
  5. In News, switch between Recent, Trade and Regulation. In stock marks brands you have in stock.
  6. Open Useful links for the Steer Autos selection of resources.

Good to know

  • Registration data comes from SDES (new passenger car registrations). Each block shows its source and update date.
  • A block not updated for some hours is marked Out of date.
  • Some figures are marked "unverified AI estimate" as their source.
  • Your price figures need enough quoted cars; otherwise the page says how many are missing.

Common issues

"Not enough quoted cars for a reliable figure." Get more quotes: click Get a quote, or fetch market prices in Valuation.

"No car in stock." Click Add a car to start.

"This block could not be loaded." Click Retry on that block.
