Visual inspection
What it is for
Visual inspection documents how a car looks: 360° exterior, interior and open views, damages, photos and tires. Everything you capture feeds the car report and its pricing.
Access
- Menu: Inspection › Visual (
/dashboard/inspection/visual). - Requires the Cars module on your team (Inspection is part of it).
Steps
- Open Inspection › Visual. The list shows Inspections in progress, Completed inspections and Drafts to finish. Filter with All, Drafts, In progress or Completed, or use Search a car.
- Click a car to open its inspection, or New inspection to start with a new car. The header shows "N/6 modules done".
- Complete each module from its card:
360° Exterior
- Click Capture exterior and upload a walk-around video or photos.
- In 360 privacy, choose No hiding, Plates only, Background only or Plates + background, then process the view.
- Preview the generated view and set it as the report default. Use Edit 360° to change it later.
360° Interior
Click Capture interior, then fill Driver seat 360°, Passenger seat 360° and Headliner & cabin with Add photos.
360° Open view
Click Capture openings to add the views with doors, trunk and hood open. Edit openings changes them later.
Damages & tracking
- Click Open damages.
- Click on the car to place a damage marker, or Add damage, then fill the damage details and add a close-up photo.
- The card shows "N damages logged" or No damage.
Photos & gallery
- Click Add photos, then Upload images.
- Drag a photo to reorder it within the same view. Tick several photos, then Delete selected to remove them.
Tire inspection
Click Inspect tires, then Measure wear (camera-guided tire diagnosis) or Scan references (sidewall scan: size, brand, season, DOT). The card then shows Tires inspected.
Good to know
- Changes save automatically: the header shows Saving…, then Saved.
- 360 privacy: processing a new view costs 5 credits the first time and 1 credit once the masks are ready; a view already generated costs nothing. No hiding costs 1 credit.
- Photos: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or HEIF, 10 MB maximum each.
- Deleting cars from this list also deletes their inspection data, and cannot be undone.
Common issues
"Unable to load the car." Click Retry. If it persists, go back to the list and open the car again.
"Error saving" appears in the header. The last change was not saved. Check your connection and redo the change.
"Invalid video file" or "Invalid image". Use a supported format: a common video format for the 360°, and JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or HEIF for photos.
"Please save or select a car before adding damages." Open the inspection from a car of the list, or finish the car's details first.
