Mechanical inspection

What it is for

Mechanical inspection gathers the workshop checklist of a car: engine, gearbox, braking and suspension. It tracks how many points are checked.

Access

  • Menu: Inspection › Mechanic. The entry is shown with a Coming soon badge and cannot be clicked yet.
  • Today, record the same checks from Cars › Add new car › Analysis › Workshop checklist.
  • Requires the Cars module on your team.

Steps

  1. In the car wizard, open the Analysis step and choose Workshop checklist.
  2. Click Record readings (or Open readings if readings exist).
  3. Record the mechanic's readings system by system: tires, brakes, suspension, battery, steering and engine.
  4. Save. The progress reads "N / N points checked" (Mechanical checks progression).

Good to know

  • No dongle or road test is needed for the checklist.
  • The checklist items come from the workshop checklist: engine, gearbox, braking and suspension.
  • The readings appear in the car report.

Common issues

I cannot click "Mechanic" in the menu. The menu entry is marked Coming soon. Use Workshop checklist in the Analysis step of the car wizard.
