Steer Chat

What it is for​

Steer Chat is the AI assistant of Steer Autos: ask questions about your cars, leads, sales and marketing, and run actions with commands. Conversations are kept in your chat history.

Access​

  • Menu: Steer Autos AI › Steer Chat (/dashboard/steer-ai/chat).
  • Requires the Steer Chat module on your team.

Steps​

  1. Open Steer Autos AI › Steer Chat. The page greets you with "What can I help you with?".
  2. Type your question in Ask anything and press Enter (Shift+Enter for a new line).
  3. Type / to open the command menu. Commands are grouped (Cars, Leads, Sales, Marketing, Insights, Team, Subscription & credits, Notifications, Sharing). Commands that change or delete data are flagged.
  4. Select cars so Steer answers with them in mind (Select cars, then Use selected cars).
  5. On an answer, use Copy, Regenerate, or rate it helpful or not.
  6. Open Chat history to find past conversations: Pin, Rename, Archive or Delete them. Delete empty conversations cleans up chats with no reply.
  7. Click New chat to start over.

Good to know​

  • Answers can include cards to open a car, a lead or a campaign, and dashboard snapshots.
  • Pinned conversations are kept when you delete empty ones.
  • Deleting a conversation removes all its messages permanently.
  • File attachments are announced as coming soon.

Common issues​

"SteerChat failed to respond." Send the message again or click Regenerate.

"Failed to load conversation history." Reload the page.

"No command matches …". Check the spelling, or browse the command groups.
